I have a name for my Demon...?!??! QUESTION from Anonymous December 24, 2000
THE STAGE: A few years ago I found myself involved with witchcraft. It was simple curiosity that drove me to indulge myself with as much information as I could about the occult. I knew only that such acts were completely abomnitable to the church, but at the time I was uncaring and rebelious. I formed a sort of coven to try to experiment with these demonic forces and I am not sure what I have done really to this day.
The Question: Vermon is a name of a demon I believe. It is the name I called to a demon that a white witch friend of mine helped me bind to myself. A foolish thing to do as I look back. She said that it was the only way I could get more information and the only way to channel enough energy to make spells and ceremonies work. The thing that bothers me is that it has been about 4 years since I dabbled in the occult... the strange thing is that I haven't lost the name... in fact I refer to myself as Vermon The Great and as Vermon5. I am not sure what the 5 stands for really... I was hoping that maybe you could help me on that one. I also wanted to know if there are any records or occurances of a demon named Vermon in your experiences or knowledge base. If there are I would appreciate any information that you could give me on him. Weaknesses, specialty, etc... I have learned several things about him I am not sure though. I am a very fearful person at times and I have very strange thoughts that go through my head (Hard to explain) I am taking medication for anxiety now because of these thoughts and feelings of extreme fear. (It doesn't work) My dad is a Ph.D. in psycology and can't come up with an explanation for my problems. He is also a very religious man, but I haven't told him about Vermon. He knows the name but does not know where it came from. My mom simply thinks it sounds evil. (She is very religious too!)
Currently: I am a firm believer in God and I do not mess with the occult at all anymore, but I am still feeling the effects of my past mistakes to this day. Perhaps you can help...
Sincerely, -Vermon5-
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, O.L.S.M. on January 28, 2001 Daer Mr. Anonymous:
First stop using the name Vermon5. Stop it now, and stop it forever.
If psychology cannot help you, then that would suggest that you may have a demonological problem. I would recommend you to read the prayers in our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog and pray the ones that are applicable. Those who have been involved as you have often has residual effects that last for years. Sometimes it takes Deliverance Counseling to resolve them.
So prayer the applicable prayers, live a good and devouted Christian life, get invovled in Church activities. The closer you get to God the more likely these residual things will go away.
If that general advice does not seem to work, then you may need to talk to a Deliverance Counselor.
