Spiritual Warfare Forum: Spiritual Distress/Deceptions - Followup
Spiritual Distress/Deceptions - Followup QUESTION from Maine on February 7, 2003 Thank you for your response. I was worried about going to another priest. I have been praying a lot, and have avoided my friend for two days. I feel bad about it, but I think it is best.
I almost quit my RCIA class because I was not sure if I would fit in to the Catholic faith and because of what happened.
I will finish my class at this parish and attend another beginning in May. Our parish is where the class is taught for our area--rural.
I do, however, wonder how I will fare.
I pray for him despite my distance. But I am afraid of going to mass this Sunday--I only want to wear one face in this life.
Thank you.
ANSWER by Mr. Joe Meineke on February 8, 2003 Dear Maine, You are very welcome. I am very happy to learn that you are not allowing this to stop you from finishing your RCIA classes and joining the Church. We welcome you with open and loving arms. You will fit in just fine. Remember, all things work to the good for those who love God... (Romans 8:28, emphasis mine). Also, remember that you need to forgive yourself. Do not allow guilt to keep you in bondage. We will remember you in our prayers. God bless you, Joe Meineke Assistant to Bro. Ignatius
