There was a small village that had three churches in it. One was Presbyterian, one was Methodist, and one was Catholic.One year, the entire village was overrun with squirrels. They invaded the Presbyterian church, whose members set traps for them, and then released them in the nearby woods. The squirrels soon returned, and the congregation realized that the squirrels were predestined to be there.The Methodist church was also invaded. The members decided that the squirrels could not be excluded, being God's creatures, so they had to put up with them. The Catholic Church, also overrun with squirrels, had the best solution. They decided that they would welcome the squirrels as parishioners. They registered them and told them that they would be sent envelopes and parish bulletins.
